Probably best known for his work with dogs, Gerrard has produced commisions for a variety of clients including The Sunday Times, Christie's, Marie Claire and The Guardian. He has appeared as guest photographer on ITV's Top Dog Model and his photographs of birds and animals are housed in private collections around the world. He has also become the go to photographer for celebrity animals, having photographed dogs owned by Alice Delall, Elle Macpherson, Suki Waterhouse, Yasmin Le Bon, Marc Ronson, Gok Wan, Peaches Geldof, Brix Smith, Daisy Lowe and Alex James, to name a few.  Gerrard recently did an exhibition in collaboration with Pet's Pyjama's & the Dog's Trust.  The celebrity photograph's were auctioned for charity & was a huge success.
